In the springtime, we get a lot of "freebie" dewberries from several vines growing wild around the property.
It's easy to pick a gallon of berries a day after just a few minutes.

Initially, we planted petunias in the flowerbed between the house and shop. They provided a nice dash of color while they lasted.

This is a native varity of water lilly growing in the small pond.

This is an African water lilly. More sensitive to cold weather.
The water lillies provide interest to the pond and provide cover for small fish and frogs.
